Hypnobirthing
Classes
One to One Sessions
The individual sessions are available face to face in Highburton, Huddersfield or online. The sessions are interactive, social & fun. One on one classes ensure you receive 100% of my attention and gives you plenty of time to ask questions.

Group (only available through prior arrangement)
The group sessions are currently only available face to face in Highburton, Huddersfield. At the groups sessions you have the opportunity to meet people in your local area who are potentially in the same stage of pregnancy as yourself. They are also limited to 7 couples (you and your birth partner) which still ensures you receive my full attention.

Mats & pillows are provided for the relaxation sessions in each class. Most importantly tea, coffee, biscuits and maybe a slice of cake or 2 are provided

Group sessions are not available to book online. Please register your interest by completing the enquiry form above & I will get in touch.
We train you to use self-hypnosis, relaxation, visualisation and breathing methods to prepare mind and body for birth.

My hypnobirthing training will not only teach techniques such as relaxation for each stage but will also teach you how to manage sensations of pain and discomfort by re-programming the brain’s response to messages from nerve endings.

The hypnotherapy process teaches you how to use hypnosis for pain management and aims to boost your trust in your body so you enter labour or a surgical birth feeling calm, confident and in control.
This is about reaching a state of deep relaxation, maintaining perception of control over the process and developing a positive attitude.

It is about changing your expectation of birth so that you help rather than hinder the physiological process, and develop valuable life skills for parenthood. The benefits of using hypnosis in childbirth are renowned. A wealth of experimental evidence validates the benefits.
When to join us
It can take a bit of time & engagement to master the visualisation & relaxation process and therefore expectant parents need sufficient time to practise frequently & regularly. Therefore we suggest you start the classes between 20 & 28 weeks. This will also give you plenty of time to make decisions based on what you have learnt. For example personal choices of birthing options, birth location, the birth plan etc.

Please give me a call though if you are over 28 weeks, we can discuss how it can still work for you; we can discuss the options in more detail.

Hypnobirthing is a very effective way for you to take ownership of your own birthing experience.

I carefully researched the wide range of hypnobirthing techniques available. The process I chose was based on the years of experience my trainer had in this area but also because the research & information provided was head and shoulders above any classes I attended when I was expecting my children.

It related to me and my experiences of childbirth; there is no telling you what you should & shouldn't do only solid guidance and education. It also provides you with the tools to be confident & calm whilst using a unique and rewarding process which can be used regardless of the delivery you choose or when things don't quite go according to the birth plan you envisaged.
